Dubai Power Outage
So what do you get when you have a city of 1 million grow overnight to a city of over 1.2 million that is expected to grow to over 2.5 million within the next 7-10 years? Growth, diversity, lots of babies (ooh), and eventual infrastructure problems. Apparently this was the first major power outage since 1999 (Y2k?). We had fun running around town being silly, sweating up a storm and going on my first photo safari in Dubai. It was of the first times in awhile that I had seen the streets full of people, everyone hanging out without concern for work, and people stuck in traffic smiling with no agenda. What a twisted parallel to this boy from Michigan's coveted "snow day" back in grade school.

Hey Eric,
I am having a great tie poking around your site. Sounds like you are having a wonderful experience in Dubai.
I was in Aiesec-Michigan way back when. Just wanted to say hi!
