Your biggest Middle Eastern fan
To all Detroiters, Pistons fans, and haters...
Even though we lost in the NBA finals to San Antonio, I just wanted the world to know what a fan you have in Dubai. Even without much support locally for my team (to the 1 person who stood by me, luv!), I stood by my year old traditions as is shown in the picture to the right.
Last year I grew a beard out starting during the demolishing of the Pacers...this year in a similar fashion I gave up shaving somewhere just after game 6 in the Miami series. I had faith they could do it all over again, so I made the same bet to myself, "I will only shave my beard once we win the NBA finals." That bet is problematic (and cocky) because it doesn't leave any instructions for if we don't win them.
So now that we have lost this year, will most likely lose our hall of fame coach next year and 1-2 of our starting 5 which was dubbed "best in the league," what do I do with my beard?
Opt 1. Shave all off, have a tan face with pale spots where the beard was ;).
Opt 2. Trim it and make it work until we win again!
Opt 3. Keep on growing it out, dye it grey, and move to the north pole where I can live a good 50-60 years as CEO of an elf driven workshop and make all the Christian world's children happy.
Advice???

Well Mr. Hensel, you have putten urself in such a BAD situation of making a bet on da beard thingy.. i'd say make a change and keep it.. as Drake said, "Ur in the Middle East" maaaaaaaaan .. so enjoy it and mingle with the locals ;) leay

Yah, and there is this local who thinks I should keep it. Plus the bed is till we win...we shall see next year if I can wait that long :). Oddly enough this bet was to MYSELF! Hehehe and yet the beard still stands!

sir its nice to see tht there are people as far as dubai who love pistons as i myself who currently resides in pittsburgh, pa was so heart broken to see us losing in the 7th game to a team who i thought would have been eliminated by rockets long time before, mr hensel i will be coming to dubai soon i was wondering if u can tip me of a place were i can meet more nba fans such as you and how easy would it be to get nba on tv at tht part of the world my email address is ismailsawan@yahoo.com, thank you
